Fitness

Preparedness/ Attire: Students have an opportunity to earn two points for wearing appropriate attire each day (being prepared). Students are expected to arrive to class wearing appropriate foot attire. Athletic gym shoes, designed for exercise, are required in order to participate (boots, crocs, dudes are prohibited). Athletic clothing must also be worn. Shorts, t-shirt, yoga pants are allowed. I expect students to change from clothing they wore to school into their PE attire daily. 

I recommend a student purchasing a padlock and using a locker located in the boys/girls locker room to keep their belongings safe. PE teachers will not be responsible for anything lost or stolen in the locker room/ weight room or gymnasium. 

Respect: Students must be respectful, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and comply with all classroom/ safety rules.

Integrity & Determination: Students have an opportunity to earn two points for appropriate classroom behavior each day.   Students have an opportunity to earn two  points for the effort they put forth each day. Students must participate to the best of their ability at all times while in physical education class.

Excellence: Students will have an opportunity to earn two points based on their overall excellence each day. Students must demonstrate preparedness, integrity, determination and respect 

Absence (6th-8th Grade ONLY:) Any student that chooses not to participate to the best of their ability at all times must have a written notice from a doctor or parent/guardian to be excused. If a student is absent from PE in a non-school related activity they must fill out a PE makeup form to earn those points for the day they are absent. Just like math and science you will be expected to make up the days that you are absent!
