Meet your teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Smith and I teach Art at Stagebarn Middle School. I am originally from North Carolina, but have called the Black Hills home for over 20 years. I graduated with a BS in Anthropology from Appalachian State University as well as a BA in Art Education from Black Hills State University. This is my 7th year teaching Art at Stagebarn.
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking and backpacking (the Badlands are my fav), trail running, reading, being still, gardening, making art, and hanging out with family as much as I can.

Students are responsible for :
Sketchbook Checks (Usually weekly) 30%
Bell-Ringers 20%
Projects (2-3 major projects per Quarter or Rotation) 50
Grades are generally updated on Fridays/weekend and Mondays. Late work is accepted without penalty but will be graded on Mrs. Smith's schedule, and must be turned in on the LATE WORK shelf only.
Late work may only be submitted within the current rotation or quarter.
