We are excited to share information about SDSU/Brookings Project SEARCH and hope you will pass it along to interested and qualified students.
Project SEARCH is a transition program for students with disabilities who are interested in working. The program offers career exploration and skill development through three internships, each lasting 10-12 weeks. Students will also learn valuable job-related skills such as interviewing, communication, teamwork, and workplace safety.
The goal is to help students gain competitive employment and job skills within nine months. They will receive job coaching and assistance with job searches, resumes, interviews, and applications.
There are limited spots in the program, so students should apply early. Applicants must be 18-21 years old, have met graduation requirements, and have prior work experience (paid or unpaid). Applications are due by Friday, March 27, 2026.
If you'd like to learn more, we are happy to offer tours. SDSU/Brookings Project SEARCH is the only university-affiliated Project SEARCH program in South Dakota.
