PHMS hosts a "Running Start" program during July to help prepare students for middle school. It is a great way to help your student feel confident ready for 6th grade. Attached is the registration form with additional information and dates. You can send the registration to PHMS or drop off your form in the main office. We look forward to seeing your student in July!

*** Taking Health and PE is technically not required at the middle school level. That said, although taking Health is not required in middle school, if a student wants to not to have to take it in high school, then they must take two Health classes while in middle school. They can take it any two of the three academic years in middle school in order to satisfy the high school graduation requirement. They cannot take Health twice in the same academic year. That would be the only combination that wouldn't count.***
