FCCLA is a national nonprofit student organization that helps youth develop leadership and workplace skills to prepare for both college and careers through peer-to-peer education, community engagement, and the application of skills learned in the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) classroom.
Members can develop skills for both college and career readiness such as critical thinking, management, and interpersonal skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.

Family and Consumer Sciences Education programs provide students with life management, transferable skills, and employability skills through instruction and leadership development activities. This program focuses on preparing students to balance personal, family, and work responsibilities.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life—planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication—all necessary within the home and workplace.
