You will supervise any class meetings to discuss homecoming floats. These floats should be constructed outside of school hours and off school grounds. Any decorations may be constructed during class or study hall with teacher permission.
If a class trip is planned, you will supervise the trip and all fundraising required, making sure you fill out the required fundraising paperwork.
You will supervise any class meetings to discuss homecoming (see 6th, 7th, 8th-Grade).
Any fundraising for prom will be organized by the 11th grade advisor. You may be asked to hand out packets.
The junior class advisor helps the class organize prom. You will supervise class meetings to discuss homecoming (see 6th, 7th, 8th-Grade). The junior class will be required to fundraise money for their prom celebration. You are to help organize and supervise all fundraising events (fill out fundraising form under Documents to gain approval first). Students will need to pick a theme, meal, photographer, potentially a DJ, and servers from the 8th-grade class.
A binder with information from previous years is available. Previous decorations and lights can be found in the elementary computer lab closet and in the west rhino pit. Fundraising should accumulate more than $2000. Permission forms are required to attend prom, so you must collect them and any money required before a specified date. Make sure to communicate the date of prom and timeline with the school resource officer.
On the day before prom, you are required to supervise the setup of prom decorations. Students are not allowed to drive during the school day, so they must have all necessary items at the school. A full day is normally not needed for setup.
On the day of prom, you should have permission forms from all students and contact information for the photographer, caterer, and DJ. The DJ will also need access to the Wi-Fi, so obtain a temporary password from the technology administrator. You will supervise the events of taking pictures, lining up for Grand March, the meal, and the dance. As soon as the dance is over, turn the students over to the after-prom parents, make sure any valuables are not left behind, and see the DJ out.
On the Monday (or next consecutive school day after prom), you will supervise the students as they tear down their prom decorations. This should start before the school day and not last more than 1.5 class periods into the day. All decorations that are being saved should go back to the elementary computer lab closet or to the west rhino pit.
The senior class advisor helps the class organize graduation. You will also supervise class meetings to discuss homecoming (see 6th, 7th, 8th-Grade). The class may be required to fundraise money to pay for some of graduation, like decorations or flowers. If so, you are to help organize and supervise all fundraising events (fill out fundraising form under Documents to gain approval first).
Many of the graduation meetings will take place under the guidance of the high school principal or school counselor. They may ask you to hold a meeting in their absence. You may be asked to collect any items students may be required to turn in, such as cap and gown forms, pictures for a presentation, or personal statements.
