Middle School Band

6th grade will begin the year using the Essential Elements Interactive books. If you do not have your own you will need to get this before school starts. We will be using the online features in the book this year and each student will need to have their own book code for this to work.

7th grade will begin using the Essential Elements Book 1 from last year and we will move into book 2 before the end of the year. Each student needs to have their own copy as we will be using the online features this year and each will need their own code.

8th grade will start working out of the Essential Elements Book 2 this year. Each student will need to have their own copy as we will be using the online features this year and each will need their own code.

Once we are practicing from real scores for a performance I will post example performances as well as resources for each class to use.

Hill City Ranger Pep Band

Music selection for pep band will be happening over the summer. If you have any recommendations please email them to me and I will try and locate a good arrangement if we do not already have it.

We will be utilizing FlipFolder App this year for Pep Band. This will make the music we will be playing available on the iPads we have. If you would like to download the app on your phone and be able to see the music that is available over the summer I will be posting a link and band name towards the end of June.

We will also be utilizing Band app for communications and scheduling of pep band and other performances. I will have this information available at the beginning of the school year. This is not limited to just a phone it also has a "web interface" that can be used on their school laptop for those without a phone.

Our goal for this year is to continue growing this group and making it enjoyable again. I have several things planned and am still open to any suggestions you may have.
