There are several options for getting an instrument for your student. Rent-to-own plans are available through most music instrument retailer stores as well as outright purchasing an instrument. A quick word regarding instrument quality; For your student to have the greatest chance to have a positive experience with band we highly encourage a quality instrument. There are many instruments available on places like Amazon and other online retailers that will "work" and they do play notes, have the correct parts and look nice (a lot come in pretty colors) the overall quality of manufacture is lacking. This will make things difficult especially for a beginning player to play in tune with the group, and even in some cases produce a quality sound. A lot of these instruments are made with softer metals that are easily damaged and most repair shops will not work on them for repairs (even minor repairs) due to the chances of them breaking further while trying to be fixed. See below for a list of quality brands. If the instrument you wish to purchase is not on the list below please speak with Mr. Safrit prior to purchasing. If you need financial assistance with aquiring an instrument for your student please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Safrit and we will do everything we can to ensure your child has a quality instrument. We do have a limited number of school owned instruments available on a first come first served basis.
