Since behavior is everyone's responsibility, school staff needs to learn about Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). MTSS is the framework that helps to organize evidence based best practices in a tiered fashion to build the capacity and skills of the adults working with students to improve academics, behavior, and social, emotional competencies.  

The MTSS Framework: Helps lead and manage improvement efforts, lists evidence based practices to support improvement efforts, may be used as a system to problem solve implementation challenges and assists in selecting implementation activities.  With MTSS, school teams learn to prioritize data, problem solve and implement appropriate interventions for academics, attendance, and behavior.
