What Do School Counselors Do?:
School Counselors are committed to supporting the personal growth of students within an educational setting.
· We offer individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom guidance. Consultation with parents, teachers, other school staff members, and outside community agencies may also be conducted.
Possible topics may include: Team Building, Conflict Resolution, Bullying Prevention, Study Skills, Self-Esteem, Social Skills, Mindfulness, Goal Setting and much more.
· We support the promotion of a positive school climate.
All students from kindergarten to sixth grade are serviced by school counselors. The counselor’s role is considered an essential component in students’ academic and social-emotional development.
If more intensive services are warranted and approved, we have a Behavioral Health Specialist available for consultation and/or direct services:
