SmartPass: Poll results

The results of the SmartPass poll revealed that students were either neutral on the implementation of the program or outright negative. A third of them commented on the fact that the issue meant to be solved by its presence is still prevalent. As one student put it: “I feel as if we can't trust almost adults with going to the bathroom without a time limit, how can we trust them to do easy tasks.” Another pointed out that the affixed time limit cannot account for scenarios such as bathrooms being closed or cleaned, a teacher or other member of staff stopping a student to chat with them, not realizing how long a bathroom break might actually take, and other various happenings.
