Thesis Statement: 

The council of nicaea was targeted to resolve Christilogical arguments about Jesus as god and the decisions of Jesus. The assemblies were affected by the bible that established the equality of Jesus and his relationship with god. It helped address the body of believers (believers of christianity/catholicism) as a way to conceal the fact that Jesus is god. In the start of the first council of nicaea (May 325 A.D), it was clearly stated truthfully through their discussions that they affirmed the divinity of Jesus Christ. The after effect of the both councils help do recognition of the body of believers in Christianity. Discussions made had issues and difficulty. Hosius of Cordova, a bishop, was an important and significant role during the assemblies that occurred, related to christianity. He took lead in their arguments between May 325 A.D to May 325 A.D of when the first council of nicaea occurred and ended.  The controversy was later then settled at the end of the council that confirmed their statements of the whole trinity of Jesus Christ. The main significant effect of the council of nicaea was them successfully resolving an Christiogical issue/controversy to confirm arguments about Jesus Christ and god. Because of their arguments, christianity itself as a religion became more recognized across the world. Church teaching also changed to educating about the Nicaea Reed, a mainstream of Christianity or basically christians that adhere to it. This shows how both councils of nicaea affected the christianity in the christilogical issue of  Jesus’s relationship with god and their statements/discussions of the holiness of Jesus Christ. It also, the council of nicaea helped recognize Christianity that became well known throughout society. 

Thesis Statement: 

When people think about the Revolt of 1857, in the Garrison town of Meerut, 40 miles (64 km) northeast of Delhi India. They would probably think that the British won it. But that isn’t exactly the case. Yes, the British did win. But this battle helped pave the road for many other battles for the Independence of India. But the battle also made the British Government alert. While the British Government enacted the India Act of 1858.This act transferred the territories and government of the East India Company to the British Crown. The Revolt of 1857 is a significant Turning Point for Indian Independence. As The Rebellion of 1857 is still known as the First War of Independence. Because the East India Company was abolished in favor of direct British Rule. After the Revolt of 1857 Queen Victoria was proclaimed to be the New Ruler of India after the Rule of the Mughals. This battle wouldn’t be here without Mangal Pandey, a Sepoy in the 34th Bengal Native Infantry better known as the BNI. Mangal Pandey is the Indian Sepoy who attacked two British Officers on March 29, 1857. And later he was hanged on April 8, 1857. Even though Mangal Pandey died, and wasn’t able to see the full of his creation. The Revolt of 1857 lasted 1 year and 6 months. It is estimated that 6,000 British Soldiers, casualty count for Indians is about 800,000. This is not only the Indian Sepoys but also Civilians and famines and widespread illnesses. 

Thesis Statement: 

The American Revolutionary War was a complex and multi-faceted conflict that had far-reaching implications for the United States and its people. The war played a pivotal role in shaping the foundations of the nation, as it demonstrated the resolve and determination of the American colonists to break free from British rule and chart their own course. The war also had significant international repercussions, as the United States gained international recognition as a sovereign nation and the conflict paved the way for other countries to follow suit. This was a turning point in history because the colonists were considered underdogs against the very powerful Britain and with most devotion and heart, the colonists pulled out a victory. Taking the victory was a huge point in history because now the colonists were free from British power and were able to form a nation of their own. Despite the challenges that faced the United States during the war, such as the daunting task of waging war against a powerful empire, the country emerged stronger and more united, ready to face the complexities of the modern world.

Thesis Statement: 

The Montgomery Bus Boycott was a turning point in the civil rights movement. It demonstrated that collective action, guided by principles of nonviolence and justice, could challenge deeply entrenched segregation laws. Martin Luther King Jr. emerged as a beacon of hope during this time, using his eloquent words and unwavering commitment to lead the way. The Montgomery Bus Boycott's success not only overturned segregation on the city's public transportation but also inspired a wave of civil rights activism across the nation. It ignited a broader movement for social justice and paved the way for subsequent events and legislation that aimed to dismantle racial discrimination in the United States.

Thesis Statement: 

July 1-3 1863, a brutal battle took place in Gettysburg 35 miles southwest of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Many men died in the battle such as 94,000 Northern troops, and 71,000 Southerns. The army was organized into 3 corps under Jeb Stuart. The first corp was led by A.P Hill, the second was led by James Longstreet, and lastly, the third was led by Richard S. Ewell. The whole battle was a turning point, but one major event that occurred was when the battle stopped Robert Lee’s quest to invade the North. This is a turning point because if they would’ve let him invade the North,it would’ve been bad because he only wanted to invade the North to defeat the Union on Northern grounds and to attack Northern morale.

Thesis Statement: 

On the day of March 21, 1918, German general Erich Ludendorff was put in charge of the German Army. His appointment led to several battles that were notable in WW1, including the 1918 Spring Offensive. One of these battles was one of the most decisive in the war. The Second Battle of Marne was the last offensive by Germany in the 1918 Spring offensive in hopes of defeating the French and the British. The German Army would fight in several battles which would result in total defeat. As a result, the Allies pushed the German forces back. This was a crucial turning point during the war, as these battles were strategic to them. For that reason, the Allied victory at the Marne River caused a chain reaction of more victories until finally on November 11, 1918, the war ended leaving the Allies as victors. 

Thesis Statement: 

On October 29 of 1929, the stock market crashed and officially marked the beginning of the Great Depression. This date would later be known as Black Tuesday, although some would argue that the Thursday before that, Black Thursday, was the start of the Great Depression. Either way, the stock market crash led to a devastating economic decline for the US, whose economy shrank in half, and caused its own value to be reduced by 90% over the coming years. This was a very impactful turning point in history, as during this recession, unemployment reached about 25% and many businesses failed. Banks started to shut down, soup kitchens and homelessness were common sights, and things didn’t get better for years to come. 

Thesis Statement: 

During 2550 to 2490 B.C. in the city of Giza, a famous and well-known city in Egypt, The Pyramid of Giza was built for pharaoh Khufu. It is a turning point in history because before it and many other pyramids were built, there weren’t nearly any building techniques at all. There were different ways to transport the large bricks, but the Ancient Egyptians created these techniques and ways to do so. The infrastructures that were built during that time took 20-27 years to complete. But, now in modern time, building a Pyramid itself or a Pyramid-like structure would take just around 5 years to complete. Modern technology and building techniques have advanced compared to the technology in 2550 to 2490 B.C. So, the Pyramids, especially the Pyramid of Giza, helped with different building techniques, modern technology, and the way infrastructures are built today in modern times. 

Thesis Statement: 

The Hiroshima bombing of 1945 was a devastating event as it destroyed the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Before this event happened the world was not really certain how well a nuclear bomb would affect a city. It is a turning point because the Hiroshima bombing informed us what would happen to a city when a nuclear bomb was dropped on it. Also before the Hiroshima bombing the Japanese were a power house apart from the axis power. An alliance of countries united under facism. The Japanese had most of the west pacific ocean including Indonesia, The philippines, parts of china, and parts of the USSR. After the bombing a few months later the Japanese empire fell and they were held under the U.S for a few months along with the Philippines. That's why it is a turning point in history.

Thesis Statement: 

In 1885 Henry Ford tinkering in his garage  with a carriage, a motor and other metals.  Welding  and shaping he molds them into a metal carriage  something that looks like a normal carriage but underneath the car there is a working engine that had a shocking 0.75 horsepower at the time. This created a revolutionary mass production in 1908 carriages had engines! were a real thing that anyone could have, not just the rich. This tiny project that someone did in their garage turned into something that we use in our everyday life.

Thesis Statement: 

Rock n roll is a famous and historical music genre that changed music history throughout generations. Rock n Roll started during the 1950’s in the United States, specifically in Cleveland. Rock n roll is a combination of rhythm and blues, and country music. A lot of famous singers like Elvis Presley and Bill Haley and his comets enjoyed and sang this music genre. These famous individuals helped improve the music genre. Rock n roll music has changed throughout the years and this generation of music is known to be a popular music genre to this day. This was a turning point in history because it influenced the social and musical interactions of white and black people.

Thesis Statement: 

In 1945 the Little Man and Fat Man bombs were dropped and changed the art of war forever. This was a major turning point in history because  it changed and resulted in many major changes in political and social changes on the planet. Much of Europe has changed. One of the major changes in the world was the shrinking size of germany. The change of countries also affected Europe, dividing it in half to make a communist eastern half and a democratic western half.

Thesis Statement: 

William Harvey’s discovery changed medical history and gave life to the science of physiology. In 1618 within London his home, Harvey conducted countless experiments on many animals, dogs, eels, crows, and even wasps. He forced the blood up the forearm but it didn’t move,but when he forced down the venous blood it moved with ease. Harvey was the first to recognize the full circulation of the blood. Proven by his experiments and argument to support this idea.
