Team 2853 has a tremendous Hawaii Regional - ranking 10th in qualifications and captaining the 6th seed alliance. We were also recipients of the illustrious Woodie Flowers Award, earning our team our first "Blue Banner"!

This award is bestowed to a mentoring individual who has done an outstanding job of motivation through communication while also challenging the students to be clear and succinct in their communications. Our students nominated our coach, Mr. Tyson Kikugawa, for the award and wrote a heartfelt essay on the impact that he has made on their STEM journeys through FIRST.

You can read our winning essay submission here.

Congratulations to our students and all of the hardwork they put in throughout the entire 2024 FRC season!

Team 7438 was awarded the Innovate Award, sponsored by RTX, at the 2023 Hawaii FIRST Robotics FIRST Tech Challenge State Tournament!

This award is given to teams who think imaginatively and have the ingenuity, creativity, and inventiveness in their approach and execution of a design solution to play the FIRST Tech Challenge game, CENTERSTAGE℠. To be eligible for an award, the team needs to effectively document and communicate their process with a portfolio and live presentation. This recognition continues a legacy of award-winning FTC teams throughout our program’s history.

Congratulations to our students and all of the hardwork they put in throughout the entire 2023 FTC season!
