Mentor Forums

Network with fellow School Level Mentors at KMR's Mentor Forums held twice a semester. Please make every effort to attend our Mentor Forums as they are part of the Mentor Expectations in the Mentor Implementation Guide.

“Just as beginning teachers need formal professional development, mentors of beginning teachers need job-embedded collaborative professional development tailored to meet their needs." ntc.org

The Purpose of Mentor Forums:

• Offers a venue to support mentor growth by promoting high-quality mentoring and instructional coaching practices

• Supports mentors in their craft/practice sharpening their mentoring skills

• Ensures accountability

• Helps build teacher leaders

• Allows school-level mentors to network and support each other

• Disseminates information about mentor stipend evidence collection procedures

When attending District sponsored PD (Foundational Institute for Mentors (FIM), Mentor Forums) and/or utilizing the 1 sub day per semester for mentoring duties, please report your absence on TSEAS and use sub code:

SASAs are requested to assist the Complex Area Business Manager in ensuring the correct codes are used.

Mentors utilizing the KMR District sub code will do the following: 

1. Email your SASA prior to the date taking the substitute with: 

   • Sub Job #

   • Date taking the sub day

2. Complete the Mentor Substitute Day Form within 5 days of your requested leave
