Foundations of Health Services
Inform student about careers in the Health Services field, basic medical skills, and terminology
Level I course that serves as the foundation course for the Health pathway
Student will gain foundational knowledge of various medical careers, foundational healthcare skills, safety skills, traditional Hawaiian health care philosophies, and ethics
Student will create a digital program of study portfolio
Prerequisite: none
Advanced Health Services
Develop student understanding of the structures and functions of the human body
Student will be able to characterize the functions of various organs, body systems, and their interplay with one another
Will maintain a digital program of study portfolio
Prerequisite: Foundations of Health Services
Nursing Services 1
This course is designed to develop the skills necessary for a career in nursing
Student will be able to assess, monitor, evaluate, report patient/client health status, apply safety and wellness protocols, and communicate effectively with the patient and family members

Prerequisite: Advanced Health Services
Nursing Services 2
This course is designed to inform/develop the skills necessary for a career in nursing, including awareness of varying levels of occupations and credentials available in the field
Student will be able to demonstrate patient care, wellness techniques, infection control protocols, and basic nursing responsibilities associated with various healthcare facilities
