Aloha Voyager ‘Ohana,
Welcome to a new school year at Holomua Elementary! Since 1996, we have been dedicated to fostering academic excellence and social-emotional growth. As the leader of the Hawaii DOE’s only multi-track school, my guiding principle is simple: equitable opportunity for every child.
What truly sets Holomua apart is the value of ‘ohana and the collective strength of our staff. We operate on a foundation of shared responsibility; our educators do not work in isolation, but come together as a unified force to ensure each of our 1,100 students succeeds. Having seen my own four children thrive here from Kindergarten through Grade 6, I can personally vouch for the unwavering dedication of this team with every teacher, counselor, staff member and administrator.
Our goal is to build a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Beyond core academics, we also instill the importance of the whole child, promoting values of courage, gratitude, and compassion. However, this mission is only complete with you. The partnership between our school and our parents is invaluable, and together, we bridge the gap between tradition and innovation. Learning never stops. As lifelong learners, our students have meaningful opportunities to apply what we learned into service to others.
