Which assessments will my child take? At Holomua Elementary, students in grades 3–6 take the Hawai‘i Smarter Balanced (SBA) assessments in English Language Arts (ELA)/Literacy and Mathematics.
ELA/Literacy: Includes a computer adaptive test (CAT) and a performance task (PT).
Mathematics: Consists of a computer adaptive test (CAT).
Additionally, all grade 5 students will take the Hawai‘i State Science (NGSS) Assessment.
When are these assessments administered? Testing windows and detailed information are available via the Official Hawaii State Assessment Portal. Holomua Elementary will provide a specific campus testing schedule to notify you exactly when your child will be testing in their classroom.
