Canvas Online Courses (if available)
Canvas Courses: Canvas is the Hawaii Department of Education's Digital Learning Management System similar to Google Classroom. It allows the curriculum to be delivered to students in person or virtually.
A few of these courses are available in Canvas Commons which is a lesson/curriculum repository. Schools interested in using Canvas can get access through the Hawai’i Virtual Learning Network (HVLN) Hawai‘i Online Teaching program. Individual teachers may also sign up using the HVLN form on the webpage after getting their administrator's consent. (Direct link to Google form)

The Virtual Learning Center has teamed up with the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) to bring you a series of exciting virtual field trip modules. Each module of this DLNR Virtual Field Trip Canvas Course allows teachers across the state to take their students on immersive virtual field trips to some of Hawai’i’s most treasured locations such as Kaniakapupu, Ka'ena Point, Puʻu Wa'awa'a, Kapapala Koa Canoe Forest! Currently, lesson plans are available for a few virtual field trips. More will be coming soon!
