                                 BOE Metrics

In June 2020, the Board of Education (BOE) adopted a resolution directing the Dept. to provide monthly, detailed reporting of reasonable and helpful metrics to monitor and evaluate the Dept.'s plan for the reopening of schools for the 2020-2021 school year amid the COVID-pandemic.

2017-2020 Strategic Plan Dynamic Report

This report showed comparative data and progress toward 2020 goals, with the ability to filter to regions and student subgroups to track equitable access to quality education. Data was released annually and aligned to key progress indicators.

ESSER III Educational Plan Metrics

To ensure the Department is making progress toward its priorities and goals in the ESSER Educational Plan, the Department will use several metrics to monitor and assess progress. 

HRS 302a-323 Reporting

On July 1, 2021, the legislature enacted Act 158, requiring the Dept. to annually report on the computer science courses and content offered during the previous school year. This dashboard was created to accompany the legislative report.

ARP ESSER III School Operating Status

In order to support the goals of access and equity, especially for student groups that have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department provides data on the mode of instruction, enrollment and attendance for schools, disaggregated by subgroups.

FAFSA

This dashboard was created to assist with tracking the graduating classʻ Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion rates. FAFSA determines eligibility for federal financial aid including grants, work-study, and student loans.

                       Summer Learning

This final report is a summary of all the Department summer programs and services across the state. It includes: student outcomes and participation, college and career experiences, as well as other operational support data.

Use of County Facilities Report

The Dept. of Education monitors and reports on use of indemnification provision during each school year. This dashboard is a supplemental tool to an annual report, generated in compliance with monitoring the provision.
