During this presentation, students were provided a more detailed presentation on what to consider when looking for an opportunity as a health care worker. They were also oriented about the amazing opportunities waiting for them in high school if they choose to be in the Health Sciences Pathway.
Guest Speaker: Traci Takehara Blood Bank of Hawaii
During this presentation, students were informed about the health career opportunities in a blood bank setting. They also created beaded bracelets that shows how much of a percentage of their blood are Red Blood Cell, Plasma and Platelets.
Guest Speaker: Ed Chevy and Michelle Morris
During this presentation, students were taught about the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). Students were provided some tips on how to effectively communicate to individuals with exceptional needs. They were also taught how to sign some words that they might find useful in their future fields or life in general.

HOSA UPLINK Students and HOSA class offered Free Vital Signs Monitoring and showcased the Anatomage Technology for the community to see all the awesome things happening in the class.
HOSA HALL
Students during HOSA Hall in UPLINK is the time students work on their projects. Subject Matter experts are also invited over to provide feedback on students work to help them improve their projects. This time is also alloted for the instructor to help the student who are taking the Competitive examinations for the HOSA Competition. Offer some study tips and techniques on how to take notes and use technologies to help with the studies.
Campbell-Kapolei Health and Wellness Fair - April 4, 2025
In this activity students from Ewa Makai showcased two of the Problem Based Learning they've done in the classroom. These problems are about helping the community understand their rights as a patient, and their project which aims to help build donors for the EMMS Blood Drive. Together in this activity is Kapolei High School, Ewa Makai Middle Schools' partner in the DoDEA Kaulike Ola Grant.
