Congratulations to the HOSA students who competed in the annual competition in Oahu this week. 17 of the 28 students who attended placed in the top ten for their competitive events including Alena Abell, Kailee Ann Baltazar, Marc Binonwangan, PIxxie Casale, Talia Farrington, Andrea Fernandez, Jennifer Guerin, Wainohia Kitamura, Stella Maddock, Jacob McLaughlin, Colten Nagahisa, Sofia Smith and Rian Yamamoto. Four of the 17 earned top three spots and took the stage to get a medal including Hannah Kostka taking first in Healthy Living, Aedyn Umalla taking first in physical therapy. In December of 2024 we partnered with Hawaii Pacific Health and Waimea High School to graduate 18 students for our Nursing Aide program. Nine of the students were from Kapa'a High School and include Zander Satterlee-King, Ainesley Tjarks, Hannah Kostka, Stella Maddock, Hannah Nizo, Ahanu Truong, Ali Vistacion, Pixxie Casale and Talia Farrington
31 students participated in the HOSA CTSO competitions in February 2024.
11 of the students earned a medal in their event and will participate the the International competition in June of 2024 in Houston, Texas.
In December, we graduated our second class of nursing aides from Kapa'a High School. This year 13 students participated and 12 successfully completed the program. The graduates include Sarah Morioka, Sierra Summer, Tenia Rapozo, Ashlynn Questin, Kayla Piper, Kaliyah Cummings, Tehani Llanto, Karylle Guerrero, Teddy Sullivan, Addi Jensen, Wainohia Kitamura and Madison Silva.
