The nurse assistant course at Kapa'a High School was established in 2021.  Every year a small cohort of students who have completed the pathway courses are given the opportunity to train under Hawaii Pacific Health and the Wilcox Memorial Hospital staff to become certified to be a nurse assistant.  Once they complete this semester course, they are allowed to apply to a position at the hospital and begin working as an assistant.
