Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

By Summer Reagan

October is the official month of Breast Cancer Awareness. This cancer is one of, if not, the most diagnosed in women, and the second leading cancer that results in death for women. An estimated 252,710 estimated women will be diagnosed, and 40,500 will die from this disease yearly. There are over 3.3 million breast cancer survivors alive in the U.S. today. There are many organizations that help raise money for breast cancer; they do this through walks, bracelet making, donating hair, and much more. If you would like to help with this worthy cause in finding a cure for this growing disease, you can find many walks online. It would be a tremendous help if you could find any way in joining and helping this cause! For more information visit https://komenphiladelphia.org/ (Website down below). And remember that this month is to honor anyone diagnosed with breast cancer.
