UNIT DESCRIPTION

In this unit, students will be introduced to the elements and principles of design. It is not the intent of this unit to make students experts in design. Rather, the purpose of this unit is to get students to be able to recognize and use elements and principles of design.

The unit is divided into two parts: Elements of Design and Principles of Design. Each lesson consists of an instructional video, accompanying slides, and culminates with a student activity. The student activities are intentionally provided as .png files to give the instructor flexibility as to which Adobe program they would like students to work in.

The slideshow in this unit is rather long, and as such, navigation buttons have been built into the deck. Each slide has a button to jump to either the Elements or Principles clickable map. Also, each title slide has a button to jump to the previous or next lesson.
