In 2014, I was a construction worker in Helena Montana, building houses and installing solar arrays. But I wasn't passionate about the work, and kept reading books on happiness and relationships. I went to see a counselor and said "I want to talk about the things that matter for a living." She suggested I become a counselor too. After a journey through graduate school and professional supervision that took me to Hawaii, Alaska, Guatemala and back to Montana, I decided to launch Sky Counseling in Missoula, MT in 2020. I have been enjoying my work as a counselor ever since and find nothing more rewarding than helping clients navigate life's challenges.
I help clients navigate the challenging life journeys through social landscapes, changing relationships with their families, determining appropriate educational and professional pathways, and overcoming mental health and substance use challenges. My clients say that I am kind, pragmatic, and help them clarify what's important to them and how to get started. Exploring complexities of thoughts, emotions, actions, and physiology, I assist people in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and a sense of their life's purpose.
