Orientation Schedule

Student orientations officially begin the school year at Saint John Paul the Great.  Attendance is required.

During orientation students will:

● Have their school pictures taken (official yearbook and ID photo)

● Receive their school ID cards, school agendas, and locker assignments

● Review school policies and procedures

● Spend time with peers

All Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors must wear their dress uniforms to their orientation day.

Backpacks are not needed. The bus schedule is listed below for each orientation day. Only students attending the orientation should be at school on these days.

Transfer & International Orientation - August 14th 10:00AM - 12:00PM

● Details will be sent in a separate note from Mr. Dan Kochis, Director

of Counseling

● Transfers receive their House Assignment and House Shirt this day

● No buses run this day

Freshman Orientation - August 19th from 8:45AM-2:40PM

● Students may begin arriving at 8:00AM

● Pizza Lunch will be served

● Freshmen receive their House Assignment and House Shirt this day

● Regular morning bus schedule with 3:05 PM afternoon departure.

● No after school supervision provided 

Sophomore Orientation - August 20th from 8:00AM-11:45AM

● Students may begin arriving at 7:30AM

● Lunch will NOT be served

● Regular morning bus schedule with 12:05 PM afternoon departure

● No after school supervision provided

Junior Orientation - August 20th from 12:15 PM-2:40PM

● Students may begin arriving at 11:45 AM

● Lunch will NOT be served

● No buses run for Junior Orientation

● No after school supervision provided

Senior Orientation - August 21st from 12:30 PM-2:40PM

● Students may begin arriving at 12:00PM

● Chick-fil-A Lunch will be served

● Seniors may wear their casual uniforms

● No buses run this day

● No after school supervision provided

The first day of classes for all students will be Monday, August 24th from 7:45AM-2:40PM. Students will attend all eight classes. All buses will run their normal schedule starting this day. Morning supervision will begin at 7:00AM and after school supervision will be available until 6:00PM.
