Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope that you are enjoying the summer months and that you are appreciating time with family and a much deserved break. In addition to sending our normal book and course updates, we wanted to make you aware of two important dates for this school year. First, again this year, we are setting aside one day, Monday, October 26th, for Parent/Teacher Conferences with both in-person and virtual conferencing options. There are no classes this day. Please look for specific scheduling in October. Second, as part of our Continuity of Education Plan, we will have two synchronous learning school days built into our calendar on Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th.
Course Listing:
Your student’s course list was uploaded directly to their Enrollment Portal checklist on July 2nd. The course listing includes their student number. To access your student’s course listing, please log into the Enrollment Portal.
We made every effort to place students in their desired electives; however, in some cases we were unable to do so. Please note that if your student does not have an elective that he/she requested, it is due to a conflict with one of his/her other core courses. When provided, we did use the student’s alternate elective selections. Please note: all elective courses are subject to change; we will contact students/families directly with any issues and to offer alternatives.
All courses at Saint John Paul the Great are college prep level courses, though some will be noted as DE (Dual Enrollment), AP (Advanced Placement), H (Honors), or Adv. (Advanced) on the course list. Please consult the course catalog posted on our website for further descriptions. Course placement is determined by HSPT scores, final grades, Diocesan exemption exams, department prerequisites, and teacher recommendations. The DE, AP and Honors course placement decisions are based upon specific prerequisites located in the course catalog. Please check PowerSchool during the orientation week in August for finalized schedules.

Book List:
Finally, next year’s book list will be available here as of July 10th. Though most books are available through the online bookstore website, you may purchase the books from other vendors. You will not need to refer to this site prior to the used book sale on Thursday, July 9th. We have included information about our summer used book and uniform sale as well. Books for The Human Person and the Principles of Ethics courses will be available only from the school store (PaySimple, found under the Academics tab) and the used book sale.

Course Listing Access
To access your student's course listing for the 2026-2027 academic year (in order to begin purchasing books),
Log into the Enrollment Portal . You will use your same username and password that was used for applying and re-enrollment. If you forgot your username please reach out to our registrar: registrar@jpthegreat.org. Password resets can be done through the system.
Click on View Checklist on main screen
Scroll to the “Optional Steps” heading under the enrollment checklist.
From there, you will be able to download the course listing.
Please note: Student ID numbers will be at the top of the list. You will need this Student ID number to upload a sports physical in ATS (more information can be found in the Summer Packet).
