We are inviting each family to give a gift (suggestion of $20/student) to help offset the costs for the day which includes a 2026 JP the Great Day T-shirt, a free boxed lunch from our new lunch provider, and all the materials for the break-out sessions. If students have special dietary needs, they should pack their own lunch.

11:45 Early Dismissal - Friday, October 23rd

Next Friday, October 23rd will be an 11:45 early dismissal due to the end of the quarter. There will be no after-school supervision. Students not in a supervised school activity must be off campus by 12:30pm. Student-Athletes with practice or a game on Friday, 23 October, should communicate with their coaches regarding after school supervision needs. Afternoon buses will depart at 12:05pm. Rosary Rally

Please join us in prayer during October, the month of the Holy Rosary! Please sign up for one or more dates on which you will offer a Rosary for the intentions of the school, students, faculty, and staff, as well as for growth in virtues associated with each mystery of the Rosary. As we pray about the challenges our children face in staying close to our Lord in the current culture, it is a blessing to know that we have recourse to Mary, our Mother in Heaven. In this way, we can be united in prayer for our children's growth in holiness, as well as for those supporting their formation and nurturing their hearts each day at school.

Middle School Football, Cheer, and Band Night!

Friday, October 23rd

Save the date for our Middle School Football and Cheer Night on Friday, October 23rd! This is for 5th-8th grade students interested in high school football and cheer and their parents.

We will also host our Middle School Band Night that evening. The students will rehearse from 3:30-5, have dinner with the band, then perform with the marching band during the 1st half of the football game.

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School's Open House will be held on Sunday, November 1st from 1:00-4:00pm. If you have a 5-8th grade child, we encourage you to RSVP for the event here! The Open House will be fun for the whole family! Invite your friends and neighbors to visit JP and learn more about the school and programs you love.

Responsible Technology Presentation for Parents

Thursday, November 5th at 7pm

Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 5th at 7pm! Saint John Paul the Great will be hosting a presentation by The Center for Responsible Technology. Learn more about the impact of screen-based technology on the family and about how to protect your children from its harmful effects. Our speaker, Peter Ryan, is a retired Navy Captain who gives presentations across the country. Students of parents who attend the presentation will receive a Spirit-wear dress out pass for Monday, November 16th!

Father-Daughter/Mother-Son Dance

Saturday, November 7th

Our annual Father-Daughter/Mother-Son Dance will be on Saturday November 7th! We are so excited for you and your JP student to join us for a fun night of contra dancing, fall themed snacks, and a cozy autumnal ambiance! Seniors will also have the special opportunity to honor their guests during Senior Tributes!

The dance will be here at JP in the main gym from 7-10PM with Senior Tributes at 8:45PM! Tickets are $40 for two and can be purchased through Paysimple. For payment and all other dance details please follow this link.

Faculty & Staff Treats

The Faculty & Staff snack list is a small way we can say thank you to all of our hard working staff members. Choose an item from our Amazon list and it will be delivered directly to school. Wolf Den Concessions Stand Volunteers

Please consider volunteering at the Wolf Den—our school’s concession stand. Each day, more than 150 students stop by after school for nourishment before heading to practice, clubs, or home. The Wolf Den is a volunteer-run operation, and your support is essential to keeping it open and serving our students. We are looking for two volunteers per day from 2:30–3:30 PM. You can sign up for a reoccurring day a week or choose individual volunteer slots that fit your schedule. No prior experience is necessary—training is provided.
