Standards Procedures Processes

INTENTIONALity

We can all agree on the tremendous value of our mission, vision, and strategy. But, Family Ministry is unique from the other ministries at Journey because of the progressive growth and changes of kids. A family that starts it's spiritual journey in Waumba Land will, over time, experience three additional environments by the time their child graduates high school. To lead the children, students, and parents well, we need to agree on how to go about it. Good procedures and instructions provide a way to communicate and apply consistent standards and practices within all of Family Ministry, making for a better experience for our staff, volunteers, and families. Having intentional standards, practices and processes will help ensure we accomplish the things God has given us to do.

Good Standards, Procedures & Processes …

  • Save time and mistakes
  • Encourage personal ministry in volunteers
  • Ensure consistent results
  • Empower people
  • Get read and used
  • Support quality goals
  • Enable leaders to delegate ministry

Two are better than one

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV

It takes the commitment of godly leaders, humbly coming together, to make our mission and vision a reality. If we can agree on how to go about ministry, we can learn together, change together, and grow together. Leaders do not have to do ministry alone. The goal of the following pages is to help each of us be better equipped to lead the people in our environments so that children, students, parents, staff, and volunteers grow spiritually. Together, we will lead well.
