Click the Settings box in the bottom right corner.

Click Accessibility to adjust dictation, full-screen magnifier, on-screen keyboard, etc.

Files and Apps

App launcher icon

Click the App Launcher icon in the bottom-left corner of your screen. The App Launcher opens.

You will see the apps you have visited most recently at the bottom. Select the up arrow to expand.

You will be able to select apps like Chrome, Google Drive, My Files, and Camera. You can find additional apps by selecting the small circle to the right if it is there.

Keyboard Basics

Turn on and off. Opening and closing the lid will also turn the Chromebook on and off.

  • Move the pointer: Move your finger across the touchpad.

  • Drag and drop: Using one finger, click and hold the item you want to move. Drag the item to its new spot, then release your finger.

  • Click: Press or tap anywhere on the touchpad.

  • Right-click: With 2 fingers, press or tap the touchpad. You can also press Alt, then click with one finger.

  • Scroll: Place 2 fingers on the touchpad and move them up and down to scroll vertically, or left and right to scroll horizontally.

  • Take a screenshot of your entire screen: Ctrl + Show windows

  • Take a screenshot of part of your screen: Press Shift + Ctrl + Show windows . Then, select and drag over the area you’d like to capture.

  • Turn caps lock on or off: Search + Alt

  • Copy selected text: Ctrl + c

  • Paste selected text: Ctrl + v

  • Split your screen: Alt + {[ or }] then click and drag a tab to the opposite side.
