Base Layer
What is a Base/Modesty Layer? Basic modesty underclothes for costume changes, costume cleanliness, and hygiene. Think solid, neutral colors with no visible patterns or prints.
Bring two Base Layer sets if possible, so you can alternate and always have a clean set for each performance (one set is required). Please also shower and wear deodorant before each performance for everyone’s comfort.
We will use two large, open dressing rooms (one for boys, one for girls), so a base layer is important to maintain modesty during quick changes, as private dressing rooms are not available.

***AVOID WHITE***
GIRLS
Tops: Wear a tan or solid neutral colored (not white) leotard, tank top, or Camisole that will not be visible under your top or blouse. Examples:
Leotard- Cap (you can look at tank sleeves also)
Bottoms: Wear spanks, bike shorts, or compression shorts in a solid, neutral color that won’t show under your costume pants (avoid white). Black shorts are usually best and easiest to find, but if your costume is very light, choose a lighter neutral shade instead. Examples:
BOYS
Tops: Wear a tan or light gray fitted T-shirt or tank top. Choose a lighter shade if it will be worn under a light-colored shirt, but avoid white, as it can show through even under light shirts. Examples:
Michael’s- Tshirts (just make sure they are fitted)
Bottoms: Wear black fitted Biking shorts or compression shorts (No print or writing visible) Examples:
