Welcome to Jordan School District Services for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing!
We are a team who specializes in working with students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. We are here to make sure that students have access to their educational environments. We also meet with IEP teams to determine education plans that will provide free appropriate public education. Working with children from pre-school, through their formative years, and sometimes into post-high school programs, we want to ensure that students who are Deaf or hard of hearing have the resources and tools they need to succeed.
You can reach out to our entire team at tdhh-uc@jordandistrict.org.

Mary Palmer has a Bachelor’s in Theatre from the University of Utah and an Associate’s in ASL Interpreting from Salt Lake Community College, which led her to work as an educational interpreter for the Jordan School District. After a few years in that role, she realized she wanted to be more directly involved in my Deaf and Hard of Hearing DHH students’ learning. Leading her to return to the University of Utah for a Master’s program in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.
Now, she serves as an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the Jordan District, supporting students across the district. She loves helping students access their learning, build confidence, and discover their own unique voices/signs. When she isn’t teaching, you can usually find her scaring herself with a horror movie, signing along to Broadway musicals, or getting distracted by her 20+ unfinished art projects.
