Are you trying to figure out how to get back on track after Midterms and Christmas break?
As students complete exams and return back to school after break, many find it challenging to transition back to a structured and normal school routine. After weeks of hard work, studying, and relaxation it is necessary to get your priorities straight and focus on the things that matter. You should set clear goals and have a back-up plan in case you encounter any challenges. If you feel yourself struggling or falling behind, remember that you have administrators, teachers, and friends to help ground you.

Advice from Administrators
~Head of School~
"We all, teachers and students, look forward to a break from the day to day routine of school. The anticipation is exciting, however, as the break draws to a conclusion we begin to wonder where did the time go? Well we must remind ourselves that this is part of the school cycle and it's time to get back in the groove. Think about the upcoming activities you want to participate in. Those activities should involve your classmates and friends. Look forward to new challenges in the learning process recognizing this is my path to future success. Remember once you get back in the "groove" time will pass quickly as you look forward to your next break!"

Coach Lance provided a few helpful quotes to remember during this transition period.
If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.
Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
Education cost money, but then so does ignorance.
The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.
Get to work.

"A couple of days before returning to school, it’s important to get back in your school routine. This means your eating and sleeping schedule. Getting to bed at a decent time will help you get back in your school routine much better and quicker. Treat the first day back to school from break like it’s the first actual day of school. Fresh start for a new 2025!"

"My advice for students before the break: Do not sleep too much over the break! It will mess up your sleep schedule and you will not be able to go to sleep/wake up when we return to school!
My advice for students after returning from the break: Half of the school year is over. Lock-in, roll up your sleeves, and get back to work. It will be Summer before you know it!"

"When you come back after a break, it can be hard getting back into the routine of school. I would tell everyone to start the new semester strong by setting clear goals! Do your best to be prepared. Try to stay updated on your assignments, deadlines, and take time for yourself. Always remember to pray!!! If you need help, reach out to a teacher, parent, administration, or a friend to help. Remember, small steps lead to big achievements!"

"After the holiday break, high school students can effectively get back on track by implementing a few key strategies. First, they should set realistic goals that outline what they want to achieve in the new semester, whether it's improving grades, participating in extracurricular activities, or managing time better. Establishing a structured routine can help students adjust back to the school mindset; setting specific times for studying, assignments, and self-care can create a balanced schedule. Students should also review class materials and upcoming assignments to prioritize their tasks and avoid burn-out."
