During the holiday season, numerous joyful events and festivities take place. First and most importantly, we must prioritize remembering the true purpose of the season, which is the birth of Jesus. At JCCS, we commemorate Christmas with a unique Christmas chapel featuring Christmas songs performed by the worship team, and also enjoy some of the band's performance from their Christmas show. Several student groups host their own Christmas festivities and events as well.

Student Council hosted the Patriot Elves shop for lower school students and Key Club went to Victory Curch to “Fill the Fridge” this holiday season. Interact Club participated in the Children's Hospital Christmas Toy Drive. Lastly, the Worship Team and FCA both went Christmas caroling to spread the Christmas Spirit.

What was your favorite gift that you have received for Christmas?

The presence of my children and grandchildren is the best gift ever.

What is your favorite Christmas memory?

The year we left Christmas afternoon and drove our kids to Atlanta. We woke up early the next day and gave the kids cash to buy whatever they wanted at the mall. We did lots of fun things as well.

What is your favorite Christmas song?

I love all Christmas music but top of the list is "Oh Holy Night".

What is your favorite part about Christmas?

A time to focus on my relationship with Christ and reread scriptures about his birth. I also enjoy the long break and time for myself and family.

What Christmas tradition does your family participate in?

I enjoy going to a Christmas Eve service, having family over for dinner, and reading with my husband, Lance, Erin, Luke and Roman from the book of Luke on Christmas morning. Then, opening presents with my grandchildren. I love to see their joy.
