Placement print and patterns from my last assignment Textile Course, Central Saint Martins.
Now the real creative fun starts, making a collection from the finished design showing the differnet elements which can be used for surface design and art.
Adobe Illustrator is the main software used when creating graphics, I can easily scale the images without losing resolution when preparing files for and finish designs for mural, bedding, wallpaper etc.
Changing backgound colour is also something to think about within this process, again Adobe illustrator is perfect for this job. I work with 300dpi, to enable crisp and sharp images. As I come from a print environment through many years, I have been used to working in CMYK, working with RGB enables me to be more flexible with colour.
Here you will see the different ways the elements can be used in different ways for surface design and art.
