CAS (Creativity Activity Service) encourages students to develop their personal and interpersonal growth by learning through experience and provides opportunities to collaborate with others and to build a sense of social responsibility. CAS is an essential counterbalance to the academic rigor of high school, as it motivates students to show initiative and perseverance and to develop communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Creativity - exploring and extending ideas leading to an original or interpretive product or performance
Activity - physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle
Cardio Endurance - the ability to perform an activity with an elevated heart rate for a certain amount of time
Muscular Strength - the ability to exert force during a physical activity
Muscular Endurance - the ability for muscles to continue an activity without fatigue
Flexibility and Mobility - the ability for muscles to lengthen and the range of motion around joints
Service - collaborative engagement with the community in response to an authentic need
