Forecasting

Electives

Below is a list of electives offered at Jesuit with introductions and applications (where needed).

Jesuit High School offers a variety of electives. Some of those electives are open to all students in the designated grade levels and others require applications and/or auditions. See the course descriptions for more details, or review the timeline below for easy reference. The forecasting process for application or audition-based electives is as follows:

Feb 2: Applications will be available on the forecasting information page.

Feb 2  to Feb. 11: Students go to the forecasting information page to learn more about the electives of interest.

Feb. 11: Applications due, students should fill out applications on the forecasting information page.

Feb. 13: Elective teachers will finalize a list of students who may forecast for application-based electives and, if applicable, a waitlist. Teachers will notify students who applied for the electives via email about the decisions. If a student is approved to forecast for an elective, that option will appear on the student's forecasting page in PowerSchool.

Note--students may take core subject classes beyond graduation requirements (e.g., a fourth year of math or science, third/fourth year of world language) as electives for purposes of scheduling and graduation credits provided they qualify for those courses.
