Things an STC should know about TIP Replacement

When do replacements happen? 

1. During the summer, emails will be sent out explaining the process in detail to each person receiving a replacement. 

Process: 

1. The teacher and school (STC, Principal) will be notified by email that they are due for a replacement machine. 


Things an STC should know about TIP Transfers

1. Make sure the teacher has all accessories before moving - power adapter, etc ...

2. Transfers are now automated in Inventory Management.  Once a teacher's location is updated in Munis, an email is sent to property records indicating the move.  No action is required by you.

3.  Once property records update the location, the asset will be placed or removed from your school in inventory management.  There could be a delay due to how busy the property records clerks are.  


Things an STC should know about TIP Returns

Please encourage staff you know who are leaving to drop their device, power adapter, and dongle off at CB Young Building #7 - M-F  7:00 am - 4:30 pm.

1. We know when a person no longer meets eligibility requirements.   

2. An email will be sent to the teacher and the STC and the principal about the return of that laptop. 

3. A tech will follow up with the STC and drive to the location to pick up the laptop. 

4. All accessories need to be with the laptop.  This includes a power adapter and USB-C Mini Hub if a Chromebook.

For the Summer 

1. This is when the majority of people retire so you must get their laptops and adapters before they leave school. 

2. Place those machines in the front office in a secure location and a tech will come out to pick them up.  Please notify the office staff of this.   

3. These devices may also be delivered to CB Young, 3001 Crittenden Drive, building #7 as well. 

NO TICKET IS NEEDED ANYMORE WHEN A TEACHER LEAVES.  WE WILL INSTEAD BE CONTACTING YOU 

Things an STC should know about New TIP Eligible Employees

1. We know when a person meets eligibility.  They pop onto our screen. 

2. An email is sent to the eligible employee, STC, and principal.

3. The eligible employee will click on a link in the email and electronically agree to the terms of the loan.  Once that is done, they can come to CB Young, 3001 Crittenden Drive, building #7.
