ISTE Student Standard 1.6: Creative Communicator: Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats and digital media appropriate to their goals.
Educators will learn how to create GIFs using Google Slides and embed this new learning into their lesson plans to allow students to respond to their learning in creative ways
Each section in this lesson will take you at least 15 minutes to complete.
Thank you for remembering to fill out your progress tracker as you move through these activities.
Be sure to complete every task in the MUST DO section AND the Mastery Check section.
You can do these activities alone, with a partner, or with a group.
However, each person is responsible for completing their own work and submissions. π
I am available to help you on anything you may need help on.
Create a lesson plan that will lead to your students creating a GIF.
Create a Single Point Rubric for a GIF you want your students to create. (Click here is an example of a Singe Point Rubric.)
Make a video of your own for your students or parents about how to create a GIF.
Here is a simple (but silly) example from one about Lionne Johnson in a 4th grade class.
3. Reflect on your learning and experience during this lesson in your notes.
