About our class
Art at Bloom is so my favorite place to be! Our bulldogs will learn the basics foundation of art and composition, as well as painting, textile, ceramics, and printmaking. Each grade, each year will have hands on experience with each of these things. I strive to have a classroom that is free of judgment, and helps foster creativity.
During each project, I ask the students what element of art is really being shown for this project. We have focused on value for many of the grades. The 3rd and 4th graders did beautiful spooky painted landscapes using a value scale of paint. The 5th graders made their color wheels that included shades and tints, and the kindergartners made very cool monsters in a value scale to look like a cave! In this class, I use Artsonia as a digital portfolio of your child's work. This portfolio will follow them all through their Bloom career.
