To the Hiring Committee of Roosevelt-Perry Elementary,

I am thrilled at the prospect of joining the R-P family as an Academic Instructional Coach. We are at a critical point in education--between relearning how to teach digitally, inequities across the board in education, and bigger academic demands on our students and teachers, our educators need more support than ever. An AIC serves a vital role in ensuring that teachers receive that support. I am excited to provide the coaching that the teachers of Roosevelt-Perry need and deserve.

I hold a Masters degree as a Literacy Specialist, in addition to my degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish and a certificate in Cognitive Coaching. I am currently working toward my Principal Licensure and Educational Specialist degree, and I am very proud to hold my Reading Recovery certificate. I take great pride in understanding how children learn to read and then formulating a plan for how to best teach them. I also take pride in developing that same understanding in other teachers, and I know that building teacher capacity is the key to success for all students. I have experience using large- and small-scale data to make significant impacts on learning for students throughout my school. My knowledge and skill set as a highly-trained teacher will guide the process for working with PLCs and individual teachers, and my ability to work well with others will build capacity in the teachers of Roosevelt-Perry.

I pride myself in my strong work ethic and my ability to be a quick study. I am a solution-finder, a change agent, an innovator, a collaborator, and a lifelong learner. I believe that ALL children can learn, and likewise, ALL teachers can grow as well. I am committed, organized, and am ready to lead.
