Go Guardian

TRICK #1 – If you have blended classrooms, you can either start both rooms at the same time and jump between them. OR you can manually create a classroom (upload a csv file of student emails). I would strongly suggest creating a scene of the places you want to limit them to visit.

STUDENT HACK #2 – There is a HACK for subverting Go Guardian management. It looks like the student is disconnected on the teacher class page. But if they are clearly on their device, it is likely they are trying to get around the program. I would ask the student to restart their device and watch them sign in. If they refuse, that becomes a discipline issue and can be classified as “an inappropriate use of district technology.”

How are they doing it? It’s quite clever and involved without ever signing in to be managed. So, from the sign in page, they go to apps (like where NWEA or TestNav is located) There is an app called ‘College Board.’ From there, they can get to Youtube. They can search “Google” as a video. In the description of one of the videos is a direct link to google.com. From there it’s game on. ALL while never having really signed in ever.
