It's a new school year, and KWLA wishes you all the best as you return to your classrooms! The KWLA Virtual Conference, Looking Forward: New Ideas, New Standards, will be September 17-18 on Zoom. We have a great line-up of events this year, from five workshops (between 9/15-9/19), our annual trivia night on Friday, and a celebration on Saturday as we turn Kentucky blue on the National Seal of Biliteracy map! More information on the schedule and registration is below. We look forward to reconnecting with you at our virtual conference and all the discussions about world language and culture teaching.
Full Virtual Conference fee is $60 and includes:
· Membership to KWLA

· Post-conference Workshop by Ying Jin: Enriching Your Classroom Instruction with Global Competence on Sunday, September 19th at 4pm
· Post-conference Workshop by Dr. LJ Randolph and Dr. Stacy Johnson: Social Justice-Oriented Instruction: Intentional Goals & Inclusive Practices on Sunday, September 19th at 1pm

Register now for the 2021-2022 Global Citizenship Program! The GCP is a two-year hands-on, global learning experience for high school freshmen and sophomores.
The GCP allows high school students the opportunity to investigate the diversity in their local communities, communicate with diverse audiences, and participate in service works that connect to global issues. The GCP is the only program that gives youth the deep knowledge, game-changing skills, and powerful network to launch a lifetime of change-making.
