General F.A.Q
1) What are the Charger Specs?
Every teacher microphone will receive a wall charging adapter and a standard USB to Micro USB charging cable. However, any charger with the following specs will work:
Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 0.4A • Max Output 5VDC 2.4A per port
2) My microphone won't charge, what should I do?
The first step would be to try a known working charger and allow the device to charge for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, try a known working battery.
3) How many devices can be paired to one classroom receiver?
Each receiver can have 99 paired devices, but 3 active channels at once.
If you take your microphone to another classroom and would like to connect to that receiver, you can accomplish this in 3 easy steps:
Press PWR on the microphone until it powers off.
Press and release the LINK button on the classroom receiver.
Press and hold REC and PWR buttons together until a beep is heard through the classroom speakers.
4) What are some common XD Teacher microphone tips?
The suggested position is 4"-6" from your mouth.
Charge your microphone nightly
If you can hear yourself or experience feedback, your microphone is probably too loud.
Your microphone will work through walls, mute your microphone to keep conversations private.
5) How do you know a SAFE Alert has been sent to the front office?
In the classroom, you will notice the receiver will have 3 solid RED lights. MIC 1, POWER, and MIC 2 indicators.
After the front office has acknowledged the SAFE alert, the indicator lights will change to GREEN, RED, and GREEN.
Don't Forget - Power Cycle your Teacher Mic
After the SAFE Alert has ended it is very important to power cycle the microphone that was used to trigger the SAFE Alert. If you do not turn the microphone off after it has been used in SAFE Alert, it will still be stuck in alert mode. While in alert mode the microphone will continue to send a SAFE alert signal to your campus receiver every few minutes. If you keep getting random SAFE alerts check to ensure that microphones are not in alert mode.
6) Under the AE Training section I noticed the VIEWPATH Video training, do we have this in our district?
The audio upgrades of this project mean that teachers' AND students' voices can be heard throughout the classroom. However, the district did not purchase the video portion.
