The Educational Enrichment Services (EES) helps adult students build the skills needed for college. Through classes in reading, writing, and math, students can prepare for their next step at JCTC.
The EES Program is a partnership between Jefferson County Adult Education (JCPS) & Jefferson Community & Technical College (JCTC), providing students a seamless transition from adult education services into postsecondary work. EES classes follow the college schedule in both time and structure, with most students enrolled in EES and JCTC classes simultaneously. All classes are held on the college campus and maintain a syllabus set forth by JCTC.
Adults preparing to attend JCTC, or JCTC students, who need additional help with reading, writing, or math skills before moving into college coursework. An assessment or referral helps determine if EES is right for each student.
Students must register for enrollment at JCTC, then complete the College Placement exam. Based on scores in reading, writing, and math EES staff assess each students need and refer students accordingly.
