Plan Your Visit

If you have an appointment please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow a few extra minutes for building security screening.

If you're visiting without an appointment walk-in enrollment support is available. Some services may require an appointment, so contact the program ahead of time to confirm availability.

Metered street parking is available across from the main entrance Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Do not park directly in front of the building. The YMCA garage at 545 S. 2nd Street is nearby (bring your parking ticket inside during your visit for program validation before you leave.

Public Transportation

Ahrens is in downtown Louisville and can be reached by TARC. Check the TARC Trip Planner for current routes, schedules, and trip planning before you travel.

Please enter through the main entrance at 546 S. 1st Street. All visitors must pass through weapons detection screening when entering the building. Please allow a few extra minutes for screening and follow posted signs and staff instructions. 

A step-free entrance is available for visitors who use a wheelchair, mobility aid, or have difficulty using stairs. It is located to the right at [Brown School]. For assistance finding it, call [502-485-3400] before your visit.
