For live class sessions, we will access our Google Meet links from the Daily Stream in Google Classroom.
The portal page provides detailed weekly assignment updates from teachers. This is a great resource to stay on track throughout NTI 2.0

Stay informed by reading through the Bruin Buzz. You can sign up for email notifications. There's great information for students and families.
Weekly and monthly schedules can be accessed in a number of places. The Ballard NTI 2.0 page will give a detailed overview of what will happen in each class and is a way you can access information about each of your classes. The link is at the top of this page, or you can find it under the Links page and throughout this website.
For Interactive Media classes specifically, the top two best resources would be this website or Google Classroom. In Google Classroom, you can click the "Classwork" tab and view each week's assignments/projects (Click the Week on the left menu to filter) and class materials (Click Materials tab on left to filter). I will also update this website with information so you can easily access what you need. The Google Classroom Calendar will show you what deadlines you have, so I suggest checking the calendar regularly.
Majority of the time, we will use Google Classroom for graded assignments and projects. If you click the assignment title under the appropriate week, you will be able to view and submit files needed to grade. Make sure to read the instructions.
We will also utilize the powerful features of Google Drive and having storage. Here you will house your work and learn to manage files in a database, including project feedback.
There may be times where I ask for an email or other forms of assignment submission. You will still access the instructions needed to fulfill the requirements in Google Classroom, but the submission requirements just might be different. If you ever have any questions, you can contact me through this website, email me, or send me a message in Google Classroom.
YES! I encourage you to do so. However, when you resubmit work, you will need to add "Resubmit" to the file or assignment titles. This way I know that it is the new and improved version. We are working towards transitioning to standards-based grading so meeting and exceeding standards is our goal!
This year, rarely. There may be select opportunities where I have activities that offer extra credit incentives. However, with the transition and goal to start a standards-based grading system, extra credit is not helpful and hard to apply. We will be working towards goals (targets or standards) that are defined for the program and needed to move forward to the next level.
There are a number of ways to contact me.
You can visit the contact page on this website and fill out the form.
Message me in Google Classroom with a private comment on an assignment in question.
Send me a Google Chat message in our Class Group Google Chat.
You can always email me at tiffany.zink@jefferson.kyschools.us
You can use the new School CNXT app. (Disclaimer: I am still learning this tool, but if it helps communication, I'm all for it!)
You can show up to class early. I will be opening sessions 10 minutes before class starts. Just know that I am going to start class on time so if our Q&A session seems longer than that, I may ask we schedule time.
You can visit me during a Support Session. Please check the schedule on your class page or the NTI Portal page.
You can always ask me questions and I can try to help. If it seems that it is an issue that needs to be resolved by the JCPS Technical Support Team, I will refer you to the number and contact info found at the top of this page.
