Q&A
What is the cost to participate?
Dual credit classes have a maximum fee of $93 per credit hour.
Dual credit courses are offered in partnership with a university or college, and those institutions still charge tuition for the courses. However, state regulations have set a limit of $93 per credit hour as the maximum a university can charge for dual credit coursework. State law also provides every student access to two (2) dual credit scholarships that may be used at anytime during the junior and senior year (for the 2023-2024 school year. 2023-2024 guidelines have not been released). Once these scholarships have been allocated, students are responsible for tuition to the partner institution.
Is financial aid available?
KHEAA Dual Credit Scholarship
The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) manages the disbursement of Dual Credit and Work Ready scholarships. For these scholarships to be processed, students must have a social security number on file, have a current KHEAA account, and request their scholarship be sent to the appropriate college or university. Counselors will assist students in setting up their KHEAA accounts and submitting scholarship preferences. Students that do not have a social security number should talk with their counselor about additional options to request a scholarship. More information about Dual Credit and Work Ready scholarships is available on the KHEAA website: www.kheaa.com.
*Social Security number must be on file at Manual High School to qualify for KHEAA scholarships.
What are the criteria for dual enrollment with University of Louisville?

What is Louisville Scholars?
