Regional medals and certificates will be received by the students' art teachers after the April 7th Regional Virtual Awards Ceremony for distribution to their students. Students continuing to learn in a virtual setting will receive their awards by mail.

• The regional Best-in-Show awardee receives a trophy and certificate.

• Regional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place awardees receive a medal and certificate.

• Regional Honorable Mentions receive a certificate.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our regional level (Derby) and state level KyAEA High School All-State Art Competition events will be online/virtual for 2021. Participation is ONLY through art teachers who are current members of NAEA/KyAEA. Students may NOT submit to this competition on their own.

Important 2021 Dates:

• March 17 - Deadline for Derby Region participating teachers to upload their student entry forms, inventory sheet, and digital images of student artwork to the Derby Region Google Drive. NOTE: Derby Region participating teachers must email Melisa Gano, the Derby Region HS All-State Coordinator, to be added to the Google Drive for access.

• March 18-21 - Derby Region Judging

• March 22 - Announcement of 2021 Derby Region winners!

• March 25 - 2021 Derby Region Online Exhibition

• May 5-8 - State Judging

• May 15- State Awards Ceremony
