A "Body of Evidence" is a collection of student work that is unique to each student and demonstrates their mastery of a competency in a competency-based system.
Our body of evidence at Churchill Park comes from a variety of data sources as referenced in the info graphic.
However, anecdotal records, pictures, and videos of students engaged in various performance assessments throughout the year are also pieces worthy of inclusion in a body of evidence.

How do we shift our grading practices?
Our digital backpacks and standards-based grading are paving the way! The old traditional grading practices were not equitable to the students at CHP. But there is hope in a better grading system if the correct competencies are chosen for our population. Our digital backpacks highlight our students strengths and if we are able to grade students based on a competency set that is appropriate, then those grades would also be empowering.
